Pool TIme!

While in Arizona Kenny got to experience being in a pool for the very first time! I was a little concerned at first with it, he loves his bath time but pool water is alot colder then bath water so i was a little scared he wouldnt like it! But oh boy was momma wrong!!! He had so much fun, he played with daddy and watched Ava and Uncle Rich play he had a blast! It was so much fun watching him enjoy the water!!

WOW! Way behind!

So I am defiantly way behind on my blogging! It been a very busy but fun last few weeks! And with both of my boys sleeping i should be taking this time to do the dishes or sanatizing something but instead im going to enjoy my hazlenut coffee and catch up in the blogging world! 

So lets start with..drum roll please...ARIZONA!!! We had the awesome opportunity to go to Arizona and visit our families. Shannon graduated from high school, we had some fun parties, and got to see little monster play with his cousins Ava and Natalia! 

Kenny did so good on his first plan ride! He slept the whole way to Arizona and the whole way home! He was such a big boy! He had fun visiting all of the family too! The time difference kinda threw him out of his routine but he was still a good little Monster!! 

It was so awesome to see Shannon graduate and hang out with all of the family! We miss everyone there so much and hate we only get a chance to visit once a year but those visits are always so special!! We cant wait to go back and make more fun memories!!

Tea Time!

So the first weekend of every month us girls (me,Andi,Betsey,Grandma,Bonnie and Audra) do a girls day! This month it was Audras choice and she choose to do tea time and "tea leaves and thyme" it was super fun!! I have never done anything like it and  I wanna do it again! Its a great way to do a fun girls day with some of your favorite ladies!

We all had so much fun! Unfortuantly on this trip Bonnie was at Taladega and Grandma had to work :( its always a bummer when one of us cant make it but we always have so much fun when its the whole gang!!

                                                                             

Breast to bottle....

So I started breast feeding Kenny as soon as he was born...he came out got a bath then latched and started sucking on his first try! I tell you the kid was a natural. In the hospital we did have to supplement cause he wouldnt pass a bowl movement. We also gave him a bottle with formula a few times the first week he was home ( due to pooping matters). But for the 10 weeks he has been with us he has always been on the breast. Well now we are trying to get him to take a bottle. And it is very frustrating! We have gone through 3 different types of nipples and he cant seem to get used to any of them. He does his best with the Dr. Brown natural flow nipples but even then he gets a few oz down and wants me! Now if I didnt have to go back to work soon i wouldnt mind keeping him latched till he is done with breast milk and on to cereal but that is not the case. Babycenter.com has had some good advice on what to do and I have followed to the best I can with him so i guess we will just keep on trying!!

Hopefully by the end of next week we can get him to take a bottle so our trip to AZ in may is more easier with his eating.

Calli Roper AKA Talent Face!

So my littlest sister Calli is the talent in our Roper family. She is a black belt (YUP!!) and she is an amazing dancer! I mean for real girls got moves!! She tried out to be in the advanced dance program at her school and she made the cut!! She gets to go to NEW YORK and dance on stage!! Watch out Brittney Spears and Janet Jackson i think the next big dance craze will be Calli Roper!! Trust me I've seen her do the dougie she rocks the socks off of Soulja Boy!!

Summer Time!

So with summer right around the corner I decided to amp up my work out from Pilates and yoga to running a few days a week. I started today and ran for 20 minutes o the treadmill at my MIL house. It felt awesome! Till i ate a turkey sandwhich on wheat bread, cucumbers, and some fruit..not bad right.. here is the kicker i then ate 5 MINI CANDY BARS!! I know right! Geez so much for the calories i lost running!


                                                 This pretty much sums it up perfectly!!

I guess next week I'll just have to be stronger and not give in to the temptation of  chocolate. WISH ME LUCK!!

My Little Sis!

Ok so Im going to brag for a bit about my sister Shannon. In less then a month she will be graduating from high school! The first one in the family to graduate on time and be able to walk with her class to receive her diploma! She has over come a lot to get where she is! Not only did she go to school and make awesome grades she also enrolled and started class's at Evit for cosmo AND got a job at Ulta Cosmetics! This girl is awesome i tell you! AWESOME!!! If you know Shannon make sure to congratulate her on MAY 24, 2012 for making it to graduation! Then you can tell her HAPPY BIRTHDAY on MAY 25!
